Prompt Guide

Backgrounds and Symprite/Aramelle on prompt rules

This page will be linked to specific higher quality/effort prompts! THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL PROMPTS.

THIS IS THE BONUS PAYOUT SCREEN FOR PROMPTS. PROMPTS WILL ALREADY COME WITH A SET AMOUNT OF OBSIDIAN DUST DEPENDING ON THE PROMPT, THIS IS A SHEET A MODERATOR WILL USE TO GRANT YOU ADDITIONAL DUST BASED UPON WHAT REQUIREMENTS IT MEETS.

For prompts that include a Symprite/Aramelle, backgrounds can grant more dust depending on how the drawing is presented, and if it meets the particles rule of min 10 particles detailed below.

>> This rule exists to encourage users to create backgrounds for prompts without feeling like they have to match up to other users, keeping a standard level of completion to make the art fair for all without focusing on artistic skill. <<

Backgrounds with a character in them are deemed acceptable if they fulfill ALL 3 of the following requirements
  • Must contain color and a fullbody drawing! IF the piece is BLACK/WHITE multiple SHADES of GREY must be visible. Simple dots (brush) or called SCREENTONES as shading is not acceptable.
  • Must be accurate to the character design AND species, if the character is unrecognizable it's not acceptable.
  • Must include a minimum of 10 particles (please refer to definition below).

Keep in mind that these high effort prompts can only be digital/traditional art. The mods are not experienced enough with judging pixel, 3D and/or animations so therefore these will not be allowed to be submitted for these. You are free to submit these under other categories (gift art, etc)

♡ BACKGROUND sTYLE NOTES ♡

  • Full background and partially obscured focused characters with 10 or more particles grant the highest bonus! Please keep in mind the character + 10 particle pieces REQUIRE lineart!
  •  Chibi pieces are allowed, but follow the same particle grant. Since chibi is deemed as a misshaped, simplified version of a Symprite/Aramelle (chibis are the OG form but with shorter body, bigger head, and shorter or more chubby arms/legs), this will grant less obsidian.
  • Toony and flat colored backgrounds are allowed. Toony backgrounds will shift to a "full background" if 10 particle pieces are added, but flat backgrounds will not (toony is a no depth background, flat is only 1 color with simple design elements - aka swirls, blocks, etc).
  • Back view and sketch pieces are allowed. These do not have to follow the particle requirement, but will grant the least obtainable obsidian. A piece CAN be deemed a sketch if the lineart is too rough/the colors are too messy. Sketch backgrounds must still have discernible shapes / objectsto count otherwise it may be considered too messy.

♡ BACKGROUND ELEMENT NOTES ♡

>> A piece must consist of 10 solid background elements (aka 'particles') that REQUIRE flat color + lineart <<
  • You are allowed to add more than 10 particles, but please keep in mind that it will not grant additional bonuses.
  • This applies to full, full partial obscured, and chibi backgrounds. This does NOT apply to toony, flat, back view only, or sketch backgrounds!
  • Please keep in mind that the background elements/particles need to be clearly recognizable / easy to make out! (eg. a flower having a stem, petals and stamen)

Unless a prompt states otherwise, the base requirements for a high effort prompt with this guide page linked is 10 solid background particles.
