[moonchill : Gift] Moonchill Festival
It was a pleasant winter evening - the eve of the Moonchill Festival. Talvine was gathering the rest of the things he had left to prepare for the festival: black pearls; some food, such as caramel roll, biscuits, and some more treats for the friend Talvine was going to go to. The new friend, a swamp Symprite who lived quite far away, was named Ingo. Ingo himself was a quiet, humble, but sweet individual that Talvine wanted to please on this lovely day. Even though today was only the eve of the festival, he wanted to give the gift soon, because Talvine wanted to celebrate the Moonchill Festival with his family - his husband and son. He had also prepared a surprise for them, but now all he could think about was how to get to the swamp Symprite's place of residence as quickly as possible. Of course, if Talvine had been a little quicker and traveled in the morning, he would have arrived at the meeting place long ago, but alas, he was busy preparing sweets for the feast.
- "Well, looks like I've got everything I need...I hope he likes it!" - Talvine said, tucking into his backpack a cherished box in dark emerald gift wrap with snowflakes on it. Symprite adjusted the silver holiday bow on top of the gift, and then, making sure that not a single thing in the backpack would get wrinkled, tightened the strings and slung the backpack on his back. "Time to hit the road!" muttered Symprite, patting his favorite and sleeping Alligawper named Haja on the head, kissed his sleeping son on the forehead, and then briskly walked out of the warm house, immediately falling into a huge snowdrift. He stuck his face out of the snow and laughed softly - he had forgotten that there had been a snowstorm in the morning, which had caused the door to be covered with snow drifts. Talvine deftly got out of the snow trap and set off!
As Symprite moved toward the nearby snowy forest where the Moonchill Festival was taking place, he thought about meeting up with his Aramelles friends who would also be celebrating it. Already he can't wait for everyone to get together around a table laden with food and other goodies. This holiday is the best, according to Talvine. First of all, because all friends come together as a big family to celebrate, launch Fire flowers, have fun, throw snowballs at each other... and then, in the morning, start to go to bed, telling interesting stories. Some stay in the forest, roasting marshmallows on a stick over the fire. In a word - Talvine loved this holiday.
A small village, where the other Symprites were temporarily staying during the Moonchill Festival, was already visible on the horizon. Talvine's friend Ingo was staying there for the night. The forest around the village was decorated with festive balloons on strings, garlands that were usually made from small glass jars and glowing pebbles from the caves. Talvine made his way to a small clearing after a while - the northern lights shone overhead in emerald and turquoise shimmering like a sea wave. The stars sparkled, there was not a single cloud in the sky. The fresh cold air made my nostrils flare a little, making Talvine snort amusingly and sneeze quietly. Among the snow-covered fir trees, Talvine finally saw the newfound friend he had admired. Deftly and quietly Talvine approached Ingo and patted him on the shoulder. The man turned around in surprise and gasped, clearly from surprise that Talvine had arrived so suddenly. He gave his friend his smile and took the box in his hands with surprise on his face.
- "I'll open it tomorrow. Thank you very much. Happy holidays!" Ingo said happily.
- "Happy holidays to you, too, my friend!" replied Talvine, and then laughed at the sight of the return gift Ingo held out to him.
They chatted briefly while the children, Aramelles and other Symprites ran around, and then went to the warm house, where the table was already set with warm food and salads. They invited a few more friends and guests over for dinner. The Symprites laughingly discussed stories, made riddles and played games. After a little celebration, they were also joined by traveling musicians who played the flute, small tambourines, and ukulele in a fun way. To the cheerful dancing and clapping of palms, Talvine went outside to enjoy the beautiful northern lights.
- "Something on your mind?" asked Ingo, leaning against the doorway of the house. Talvine sat on the wooden steps by the doorway and admired the night sky.
-"Thinking about family. I just realized that time with them is important. Now they're here, and what if something happens to them? And then there's no time to be with them. Thanks for the party, I should probably go home..." Talvine said with a smile, getting up from the steps of the house and hugging Ingo goodbye. Saying goodbye to the rest of the guests as well.
Gathering his already somewhat empty backpack for the road, Talvine took to the road - home. Fireworks shone in the sky, and Symprite looked back with a smile, not intending to stop. Pretty soon the lights of home disappeared from sight - now the path was lit by the northern lights and the occasional sparkling star. Watching the beautiful sky, Symprite saw images of cute and unusual creatures in it. Following the brightest spark of the sky, the boy found his way home, climbing up a snowy mountain with a small forest and streams on it. Not far from Talvine's own home was a small village with few acquaintances of his, but they were not close to him, unlike the family that already greeted him on his doorstep.
He would spend this Moonchill Festival with them, having a pleasant time with the Symprites he loved.
