ROYAL

ROYAL (Gold)

Category: Heritage
Species: Symprite
To add the ROYAL Heritage to your symprite you will need to obtain the ROYAL POTION from the Trait Merchant shop!

This Heritage needs to be applied to the main design and cannot be an alternate form.

A ROYAL Symprite needs to show off their:

RIDGED HORNS, ENHANCED FANGS, AND A TALLER AND/OR BULKIER BUILD!

THIS HERITAGE CAN BE APPLIED TO:

OCEAN, SWAMP,  and ARCTIC Symprites.

YOU MAY STACK UP TO 3 HERITAGES ON A CHARACTER!

trait lore
It’s believed that this heritage can be traced back to the days after the great merge, due to the chaotic aftermath of the event. Since the high outburst of cognitive awareness spreaded among symprites, thet demand for rebuilding, reclaiming and setting up a society was at an all time high. It’s assumed the royal heritage started appearing around this time due to the increased strength the heritage seems to have, their often more bulky appearance and high energy output. Their high energy output and seemingly less need for sleep is combated by the fact that Royals are generally a very hungry bunch and can consume up to 3x the average portion.

This also gets reflected on their horns, the keratin seemingly overflown with so much virility it started to separate and create this spike like effect on them.
These symprites also sport a visible set of sharper fangs compared to a common Symprite. It’s assumed this was there to aid them with eating more harsher foods like raw meat and fish when their bodies also had to adapt to their new biotes. In the more recent years, where cooking is now the norm and raw foods are rarely the main dish anymore, fangs often appear shorter and more dull these days, the need for them seemingly growing dimmer.

HYBRID (Restricted)

Category: Heritage
Species: Symprite

This trait is special in that it only applies to Symprites with 2 subtypes. This trait cannot be added with any potion.

trait lore
This heritage can better be described as a mutation since it virtually cannot be passed down from a parent to their offspring, since this heritage seemingly works without rhyme or reason.
A hybrid symprite has incredibly small odds of being born when their parents are 2 different subtypes, even though great attempts have been made nobody has figured out how to increase these odds yet.

Newborn hybrids have access to both their parents subtype traitpools, and due to some odd genetic mismatch they sport very brightly colored gold markings when born.
Even though the odds are extremely low twins also have been known to be born both sharing the Hybrid trait.
Triplets hysterically have not been documented yet but it’s assumed the chance is there even with dire odds.
It is believed that partly Abyss symprites are to blame for Hybrids since they share the same markings, this however is all speculation and not grounded with actual evidence.
It’s perhaps something the biote does when overloaded with too much information from 2 subtypes, and therefore creates a some sort of “missmatch” when picking a genetic pattern and accidently merging them.

Speculations aside Hybrids live the same lives as any other Symprite and do not gain any natural advantages like some other heritages, besides the ability to show off a few more traits these are like any other symprite and usually do not get special treatment among their kind.

GUARD (Gold)

Category: Heritage
Species: Aramelle

Guards are not made through Gold Potions, they require their unique heritage potion to be made/applied to an Aramelle.
(There is currently no way to make a Guard Aramelle aside from purchasing a premade from a sale)
Guards have the same requirements as regular Aramelles based on their subtype. They need the addition of the following traits on top:

** You need to add these traits to your guard character. They are FREE
, so... DO NOT BUY THE POTIONS WHEN UPLOADING. **

Mandatory traits for all guards include:
- Guard's Claws
- Vented Arms
- Firey Breath
- Boiling Point

Mandatory subtype traits for guards include:
- Guard's Fins (Standard)
- Leg Bug Claws (Ento)

The guard heritage cannot be reversed once applied to an aramelle itself.

these have to visually stand out and be taller compared to any other normal aramelle. Please refrain from drawing a guard aramelle small, these naturally have to be taller.

UNSTABLE

UNSTABLE (Diamond)

Species: Symprite
To add the UNSTABLE Heritage to your Symprite, you will need to obtain the UNSTABLE POTION from the Trait Shop or Black Market Shop!

🐟 UNSTABLE SYMPRITE TRAIT RULES 🐟

An UNSTABLE Symprite needs to show off their:

NECK SCALES, TALONS, and UNSTABLE BIOTE!

THIS HERITAGE CAN BE APPLIED TO:

OCEAN, SWAMP, OASIS, CRYSTAL  and ARCTIC Symprites.

YOU MAY STACK UP TO 3 HERITAGES ON A CHARACTER!

Here are some visuals to help you out and give you some examples on how to draw the UNSTABLE Heritage's traits, as well as the traits' limits!

Always make sure the neck and talon scales stand out VISUALLY! They are not allowed to blend in with the body/markings - they need to cleanly stand out.

❗ Scales / Ornate patterns / Swirls still have to follow the VALUE guide and cannot be darker than 25% value.
❗ Scars cannot HIDE where the talons end. It has to look clear on the Masterlist image.

Normal ridges/spikes are allowed on Oasis and Crystal Symprites, but from the moment they become too long and "bug-like", the Symprite would require the UNSTABLE Heritage!

❗ You're allowed to combine the Biote shape with other Biote traits, but the ridges and/or spikes must still visually stand out.
❗ The Biote must look visibly sharp, strong, and/or scary! If deemed not spiked enough, your design will be sent back to you for appropriate edits.

A Symprite needs all 3 visual indicators to have this Heritage. Prior Symprites on the Masterlist with 1 or 2 of these attributes are counted as oddities and therefore don't get this Heritage applied.

Biote Overgrowth

Biote Overgrowth (Silver)

Category: Head (SYM)
Species: Symprite

trait lore
This trait is more of a visual decorative trait and nothing alike a symprites biote. No major organs and or important veins run through these smaller biotes, making them far more easier to manage and even customise. Cutting them short is not painful but does require an expert since these are filled with a goopy mass inside, so it can get quite messy if done without somebody who knows how to handle them.
These do naturally continue to grow during a symprites life, so without diligent upkeep its easy to appear quite messy. These also do not always grow fully over the head, it’s common for it to be localised on certain parts of the head and for the other parts to be covered with normal hair.

Even though there is no major veins present these smaller biotes are however known to move quite a little, and can even slightly act like its holding and or touching things. The owner can not feel these touches but it can still lead to pretty awkward situations, since they can appear to act out what the owner is thinking.
