Ankiilatars ( Oceanum oculos ), also known by the common names Ankiies or AnkleEaters, are energetic critters who roam the south borders of Pangaea, near coral reefs and beaches.

Ankiies are descendants of an extinct larger species that was artificially created by humans, having anatomy resembling betta fish, colts, and snapping turtles. The largest known Ankiies can stand 80 cm tall and weigh 36 to 68 kg.

Despite being built for aggression, with a big snapping tooth that can break bones and a hard-scaled head that can break wood, Ankiies are incredibly gentle and friendly creatures. They can make for lifelong companions, living up to 78 years, and are very protective of symps they bond with, and have no problems living in large groups.

The most striking thing about their appearance and personality is their trickster personality and bright markings. Many Ankiies will use the advantage their marking have given them, something they developed to scare both prey and predators away, to scare away bappies and rival Ankiies for fun. They are also not afraid to use their teeth to create snapping sounds at night for a good scare.
