Exotic eels can get REAAAALLLY long and large, though most people have eels around the size of a garter snake, since they don't need as much space or food. How big ur eel is is definitely a flex, having a very large one shows that you're rich rich 😭😭😭😭

They were domesticated from deep cave eels, which is why they have such strange eyes- they'e adapted for both darkness & how light tends to bounce around in caves in a disorienting way.

the eels can also be fed bioluminescent plants & they will start glowing! They don't glow otherwise though

their mouth spines along their sides were inspired by whale teeth! Though they work as a sorta mix of a mouth & gills
