[journal : Gift] Monkeying Around
Dear Journal,
Scoville here again, today you wouldn't believe what I found. It was the wildest thing I think I've experienced, but also really cool! So I was exploring the old vault today, right, and a hoard of those colorful monkeys came swinging around. I didn't really think anything of it at first because they're pretty common to see there. However, what really surprised me was the fact that some were flinging what looked to be paint, and using sticks to do so! Some even had some buckets and were dipping their tails into the paint to whip it around and fling paint at the ones close by to them. These monkey's were having a paint fight, mid air, while swinging around - originally I stuck to the side to just observe this fascinating event, but considering how much fun it looked like they were having, I couldn't help but join in. Seeing as the old vault has a lot of good hiding spots, It was pretty easy to sneak around the distracted monkey's, finding some red paint buckets and sticks along the way, and then taking aim once I got into a good position. The first monkey I managed to land a hit on had no clue where the hit came from, but after a few more paint attacks on their buddies, they seemed to catch on that something, or someone, had intercepted their little game. You should have seen the looks on their faces! First they were confused, then they rallied together to try and find this 'mystery intruder' a.k.a myself ~ They seemed to form different squads; some having blue paint, others having green, and the last group having yellow. It was a bit difficult to hide from several groups of monkey's actively searching for me, but I did manage to get a few more targets before I was found. Next thing I knew, we were all in the middle of the vault, both of us dodging and weaving as best as we could while trying to tag as many targets as we could. In the end, I didn't get the high score, but it was certainly a heck of a lot of fun! Though have you ever tried getting paint out of your scales? It was ... not the best experience, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I had so much fun today, and I look forward to seeing what else I can find!
