Day 13

Today I had the opportunity to meet Veron. How strange and yet incredible it was to come face to face with this creature I had heard so much about, but had never seen in person before.

I was wandering through the hills looking for herbs and berries for home picking when I noticed a huge dark figure in the distance. At first my heart sank - the creature looked majestic and intimidating. Its dark brown fur, which fell in soft waves across its chest, looked so thick and fluffy that I could only imagine how deep it could hide. Two pairs of twisted horns crowned his head, adding even more intimidating majesty. I froze, hoping he wouldn't notice me.

But as soon as our gazes met, all anxiety vanished at once. Veron's fiery, almost glowing eyes looked at me with an expression so soft and kind that I was suddenly ashamed of my fears. The huge-chested giant approached me without making a sound. I backed away a little at first, but he just kept staring, making no attempt to scare me.

“Hello, big friend,”- I squeezed out, still somewhat confused, but already less tense. Veron, as if understanding me, stepped closer, and that's when I noticed that there was a small animal hiding in his soft chest - Silky Moff, a cute creature with fluffy wings, was looking up at me from his fur. Veron seemed to care for her as if she were his own cub. Silky Moff, sensing my presence, only squeaked softly and hid again in the warm, fluffy fur.

An incredible tenderness swept over me. I knew that Verons were known for their caring nature, but to see it firsthand was something incredible. I reached out my hand, hesitant to touch him, and Veron, as if understanding my gesture, gently tilted his head, letting me rest my palm on his chest. I felt the incredible warmth that radiated from him, and it was as if I was soaking in the very serenity that was his essence.

When I took my hand away, he turned his huge head to the side and sniffed something in the grass. It was clear that it was time for him to go back to his business. He moved slowly away, his massive hooves thudding on the ground and his fur fluttering in the wind as a sign of warmth and majesty. Veron disappeared into the thicket as quietly as he had appeared.

I stood for a long time, still feeling the softness of his chest and the gentle warmth he'd given me in just a few minutes.
