[gift] Byssys walk
Eutectika continued on her way through the winding streets of the central part of Byssys. This area, in the heart of the metropolis, was her favorite place to walk. The buildings here, as if growing out of the water, resembled coral reefs. Their architecture had smooth lines and natural shapes, like the elusive traces of river currents. Many of the houses were covered in soft moss that radiated light at night, and the windows overlooked the water's smooth surface into the vast forest.
Her tail glided softly on the sidewalk, and the fins on her back moved slightly with every movement. At this moment, at the hour when the sun had already begun to set, its last rays colored the sky in bright pastel shades of pink, orange and blue, reflecting in the water and giving the whole city an almost fairy-tale atmosphere. The breeze brought with it the smell of seaweed, which Eutectika adored. It was a moment where her thoughts drifted away and she just enjoyed the moment.
Along the way, different vendors were encountered, and each greeted her in a different way. One shopkeeper had bottles of sea cosmetics he made himself, another had ancient musical instruments that sounded like a sea storm. But tonight she was interested in the groceries for dinner. She loved to cook, and evening shopping was not just a chore for her, but a real pleasure.
The first thing she did was walk over to a shop that sold sea delicacies. The shopkeeper, an old acquaintance, greeted her with a smile as she selected several packages of seafood. There were salty starfish, sweet sea urchins, and exotic fish with brightly colored scales that seemed to have just surfaced from the deep waters of Snowshell Reef Beach.
- Help yourself, Eutectika, - he said, holding out a small piece of fish to her. - Only recently caught and brought in, from the purest of waters.
She nodded, thanking him for the offer, and took it gladly. The flavor was delicious: light sweetness with notes of ocean freshness, subtle spices. It was exactly the product she was looking for for her dinner.
She then headed to the next counter, which sold a variety of fruits and vegetables. Here she found rare Kochiberries that were perfect for making her favorite dish, seafood salad. The shopkeeper would set out a portion with a smile, and she would choose the most beautiful berries that emitted a soft light. Some were thin and clear like glass, while others were denser and richer shades of red.
- 'You'll definitely appreciate these treats, - the vendor said, lifting one of the branches slightly. - They're perfect for dishes, especially if you want to add a little exoticism.
Eutectika nodded and, smiling, placed a few bags in the basket. She always made sure to choose the best products so that dinner was not just a meal, but a real experience.
After that, her path continued towards the fruit stand. She adored those brightly colored, rich fruits that were not found anywhere but the outskirts of Byssys. Red Parippa with a sweet and sour flavor, clear fruits that resembled sugar crystals, and local exotic fruits that tasted like a mixture of tropical citrus and berries.
- Today we have a new crop! - exclaimed the vendor, who was already waiting for her at the counter. - Fruits that have just been harvested from the near-water plantations! They are not only delicious, but also incredibly healthy.
Eutectika happily picked out a few fruits and then, noticing the Northern Rainbow Cosmo Berries, added them to her cart. It was a rare treat that she liked for its tartness and refreshing flavor. Visually, these fruits resembled large star-shaped berries, but their pulling texture was given a creamy shaddes, making each bite extra rich.
Now that the basket was filled, she traveled onward. The city of Byssys was as vibrant as ever, and the streets were full of symprites she met smiling, chatting and exchanging news. There was no boring everyday life here, every day brought something new and interesting.
As she passed by small cafes and restaurants, she noticed how the bright lights were starting to come on, creating a cozy atmosphere in the darkness. The water of the city shimmered faintly, reflecting the light, and ships from the far corners of the planet still floated beneath the bridges.
As Eutectika approached home, her tail swayed gently and fins moved in time with each steps. All the food she had chosen was waiting for her in the kitchen, and she joyfully set about preparing dinner. At this moment Eutectika felt especially happy - in a world full of water and greenery she was finding her place, where every day was full of bright impressions and small pleasures.
Having finished cooking, she sat down at the table and, savoring her meal, once again felt how beautiful this world was, filled with life, friendly creatures and wonders that lurked around every corner.
