[treasure] Finding Melon

Having noticed that she was starting to run low on medicinal herbs, Mycelia heads into the nearby forest foraging basket in hand. She makes her way through the forest crouching down to where she knows to find certain medicinal herbs, keeping an eye out for any other medicinal herbs as she avoids where she knows other Symprite’s have placed traps for hunting. Mycelia sings to herself as she fills her foraging basket with all sorts of medicinal herbs for her animal sanctuary, knowing that she has a few sick Alligawpers and Jerbs they would help. She also picks a few mushrooms for herself as she finds them, planning her dinner later that day. Mycelia pauses when she sees a pretty pink and green Arkeos pop out of a bush, before his feathers puff up defensively, his apprehension of her obvious before he then runs into the brush opposite of her. She watches as he disappears, before respectfully moving in a different direction than the Arkeos. As she makes her way to the next herb she freezes as the unmistakable sounds of a hunting trap snapping shut, and the piercing agonising cry of an Arkeos shrieking in pain had her turning in the direction that the Arkeos had run in. Mycelia quickly makes her way carefully through the trees and shrubs, making absolutely certain to not spook the Arkeos in her approach. The melon coloured Arkeos began to puff up and make a low pitched growl-esque noise defensively as she neared slowly. Mycelia gently got down to her knees, as she reached into the basket of medicinal herbs and mushrooms to grab an herb for pain dulling before gently holding it towards the injured and defensive Arkeos as her other hand reached for the tightly shut trap. The Arkeos thrashed as her hands neared him causing him pain before biting both the herb, but the Symprite’s hand as well; though she pushed through the pain of the sudden bite to grab hold of the hunting trap. She makes her way closer as she gently holds the Arkeos’ head in place to keep him from moving as she begins to slowly open the trap, after the trap is opened she scoops him up into her foraging basket; careful to avoid causing further pain and damage to the injured wing. Mycelia keeps the basket still as she quickly moves through the trees and brush as she rushes back to her home. When she gets back to her sanctuary, opening the door before gently depositing the basket onto the table as she heads further into the home for the medical supplies to help the Arkeos. The rest of the day goes by as she patiently gets the trust of the Arkeos, before she finally sets to work hoping to possibly save the wing. After a long and exhaustive process she finally patches the remaining nub of the limb, as the wing had been too mangled from the trap and from the Arkeos’ struggling in the trap, she gently takes the exhausted Arkeos to a comfortable place in her home for him to rest and recover. As she heads into the kitchen to make the Arkeos some food and water, her Jerb Leaf hops up to the spot where Mycelia placed the Arkeos. The Arkeos tries to get defensive, before Leaf gently drapes his favourite blanket onto the Arkeos’ back covering him as best as he could do. Before Leaf settles next to him, chirping happily to the Arkeos as he gets comfortable on the soft bed he had been gently placed on. Mycelia reenters the room and smiles gently when she sees Leaf keeping the Arkeos company as she walks over, depositing the water dish and food near to the Arkeos. She pets Leaf gently, before she leaves to finally rest after the long procedure.
