On one bright shining morning a young Seele decided to buy some land...
After spending a good chunk of her savings on purchasing her new land Seele traveled to where her plot was supposed to be. She was excited to finally have a plot of land that she could make her own, grow some crops, raise a couple of houndles... however upon arriving she would see that the land she bought wasn't "Cleaned and ready for building" like the seller said, but rather it was an overgrown forestry weed mess. She knew that somewhere on this plot was a shed with tools that she could use but getting to these tools might prove difficult.
Filled with frustration Seele debated going back to the seller and demanding her money back. However not many sellers were willing to sell to someone as young as her and for as cheap as she bought this for. So pulling herself together she decided she would just have to venture into this overgrown nightmare and fix it herself. Step one was that she was going to need to buy some tools, going into this mess with nothing but her hands would be unwise. She purchases a flashlight, some snacks, a bag, and some other small cheap items she hoped would come in handy. She returned to her plot of land and began to push through the growth.
A variety of plant life had grown here. On the outside you would see mostly common weeds but as Seele got deeper into the brush the type of plants growing became more unique and more beautiful. Part of her almost felt a little bad that she would have to remove all of them soon. While she was admiring the plants around her she slammed into something. The shed she had been looking for! Although from the angle she was at it seemed a little bigger then it should be. Seele walked around the edge of the shed looking for the door and with each step she took she wondered just how big this shed was. She rounded the corner and saw the door... and a window? "Sheds don't normally have windows do they?" She thought to herself. She took a few steps back at the entrance to get a good look at the "shed" and realized that maybe it was not shed. It was far to big and... cabin looking to be a shed. Perhaps the seller didn't know the cabin was on the land considering how overgrown it was? Regardless she approached the door and attempted to open it. Unfortunately the doorknob would budge. It was locked, and Seele definitely didn't have a key for it. She didn't think to much before grabbing a small shovel she had bought earlier. She took a few steps back and then ran forward. The door swung opened with a thunk as the knob fell to the floor. She was going to have to fix everything else anyways so adding a broken door to the list wouldn't change much.
Seele sneezed, the dust in the cabin was thick. No one has been in here for a very long time. She gave the entry way a quick glance around, some old furniture from who ever lived here last was still here. She moved forward in the walkway and entered a large room, presumably a living room she thought. to her side was a small archway that led to a kitchen. Her stomach rumbled as she realized she hadn't eaten since this morning. She sat herself in one of the old dusty chairs in the kitchen, it gave out a broken squeak. She hesitated waiting to see if it would break under her. As the dusty settled in the room again she opened her bag and took out one of the cheep snacks she had bought this morning. As she snacked she looked around the old kitchen and thought to herself that this place could make a pretty good home if she just cleaned it up and fixed some things. It would place her closer to her new land and it would save her some money that she would normally have to have spent on the place she's renting.
After finishing up her snack she continued to explore the house. A small office like room, a guest bedroom, a couple of closets, and then the master bedroom. This bedroom in particular was extra dusty. Seele brushed a few cobwebs out of the way as she entered the room. Unlike the other rooms there wasn't much abandoned furniture here beside a small nightstand and a lamp. Seele looked around the room, if she brought her broom and bought herself a nice small bed she could easily make this bedroom livable.
her heart began to race, she imagined all the ways she could turn this abandoned cabin into her home. The things she would need to clean and fix and of course the outside land she would have to clear. At the start of this day she had been frustrated but now having gotten a chance to explore her land and the odd cabin she felt happy and excited. This land would become her home and it would start with this room. She set for her hold apartment, she would gather her things and move them here, she would buy a few things to repair and clean and she would make her home. This would be the start for her. Away from the emptiness of her old life, away from everything that troubled her.
