They are also highly curious and will approach friendly divers if they do not feel threatened. This also makes them common pets!

These eels taste extremely sweet and their flavour has often been described as fruity. They spend most of their time sleeping between sun-warmed rocks in the daytime and have been known to play dead when feeling threatened, making them easy to catch if you can find one!

These deep sea critters commonly make their home in the hydrothermal vents which provide protection and warmth along the seafloor. Their dark color comes from absorbing the minerals from the ash columns coming from the vents. They are rich in important nutrients, but it takes a skilled diver to catch them! 

These deep sea fish are different from their Cloudberry cousins in that the hood grows much larger and can even cover their eyes. While folk may think their limited eyesight is detrimental, their hood is actually an important organ used to sense vibrations in the water, making them very hard to catch.

Juveniles have exterior gills like their Xochilotl cousins but lose them as adults due to their more amphibious lifestyle.

Unlike typical eels these funky fellas live in shipwrecks instead of caves as they have migrated from the rocky coasts and adapted to larger open water habitats due to scarcity of food. They can be highly territorial and often hunt or compete Golden Daggerfish who invade their areas looking for additions to steal treasures.

These noodles are a migratory species that travel in large colonies along the ocean floor. When they find a suitable area with an abundance of food they will settle into the soft sediments to feed and rest before moving on again. When hunkered down they look like beds of sea grass to the untrained eye!

These fish are one of the smallest catfish breeds! They burrow at the roots of water lilies in search of Rainbow Kiril to eat which gives them a sweeter flavor than their hardy cousins, but they are quite shy and easily spooked which makes them much harder to catch.

These fellas have throats that glow when inflated to attract mates! Their glow is easy to spot but they are notoriously hard to actually find. Symps often spend romantic nights watching their flickering lights and listening to their ribbits. Beware though, they are known to steal trinkets to impress potential mates!

These small fish are social creatures that prefer to swim in schools. During migratory seasons, folks travel to watch them swim as they have often been compared to clouds that float through a clear blue sky. They are a popular pet for bappies and mielles due to their cute looks.

These neri may be cute but they are seen as a nuisance in reefs as they will feed on algae stalks and unbalance the natural habitats. Their fluffy antennae have two important purposes! Not only can they sense movements in the water with them, they also have eye spots that are used to confuse predators.

Unlike their cousins, these babies are friendly and require very little food and maintenance, making them ideal pets for mielles and bappies! Juicy seagrapes are their main food source and youngsters can often be found combing these plants in the shallows to collect these neri clinging to them.

Look out! These spiky critters are abundant in tidepools and even in the shallow waters and reefs off the coast. They love to feed on Sweet Coral, and if you look closely you can find their empty shells to collect!

This coral is common in the more protected tidepool and reef areas, and are a vital habitat for many species on Capricorn-13. They come in many bright colors that Aramelles love to collect and craft with, and are a common foraging item!
